Mojácar sailing club - Almeria province Spain
The sailing club is based in Mojácar, Almeria province
Spain and was founded by John Talliss in 2002.
Santa Irene Club de Vela is a Registered Sports Club
of Andalucía and a member of the Andalucían Sailing Federation,
as well as a member of the Drascombe Association, the Royal Yachting Association
and the Polynesian Catamaran Association.
The sailing club was established to introduce the sport of sailing to this area of Andalucia and membership is open to everybody, whether you are a novice and want to learn to sail or an experiened sailor.
One of the club's main aims is to bring the sport of sailing
to the youth of Andalucia and would actively encourage them to join the
club.
The Club is for members only, although
you don’t have to be a boat owner. Membership is open to everyone,
and temporary membership is available to members from other sailing clubs based
in Spain or abroad who would like to sail when visiting Mojácar. Anyone

The club sails from Garrucha Harbour Slipway - Almeria every weekend including Bank Holidays.

The club has also a traditional sailing yawl of 5 metres " kittiwake Classic" which can be used on special occasions.
